PRIVATE PROFESSIONAL HAIR-SYSTEM CARE

Maintain the Fit, Attachment, Blend, and Appearance of Your Hair System

Hair-system maintenance is not an optional extra. It is part of properly wearing and protecting a professionally installed hair replacement system.

MSGS provides private maintenance services designed to help preserve attachment, comfort, cleanliness, shape, blending, and a natural-looking overall result.

Maintenance services are separate from the initial $950 Hair Replacement Package and are scheduled and paid for individually.

ONGOING CARE PROTECTS THE RESULT

A Hair System Must Be Maintained to Continue Looking and Feeling Its Best

Adhesives, natural oils, perspiration, environmental exposure, hair growth, product buildup, and daily wear gradually affect the system and its attachment.

Professional maintenance allows the hair system and scalp area to be cleaned, evaluated, repositioned, reattached, blended, and styled when appropriate.

Maintenance Helps Address:

  • Lifting or weakening attachment.

  • Hairline buildup or visible adhesive residue.

  • Natural hair growth affecting the blend.

  • Changes in shape, styling, or density appearance.

  • Scalp and base cleanliness.

  • Dryness, tangling, shedding, or product buildup.

  • Normal wear that may signal the need for repair or replacement.

The purpose of maintenance is not only to reattach the system. It is to protect the entire presentation.

What Happens During Professional Hair-System Maintenance

THE SERVICE

The exact service depends on the client, attachment method, base material, unit condition, wear schedule, and approved care plan.

System Removal

When appropriate, the unit is carefully removed to reduce unnecessary stress on the base, hair, scalp, and surrounding natural hair.

Scalp and Attachment-Area Cleaning

Adhesive residue, oil, perspiration, and buildup are removed from the scalp and attachment area.

Hair-System Cleaning

The unit may be cleaned and conditioned using methods appropriate for its base and hair type.

Base and Unit Evaluation

MSGS evaluates the base, hairline, density, shedding, tangling, dryness, discoloration, and signs of normal wear or damage.

Attachment Preparation

The scalp and unit are prepared for reattachment using the approved attachment method.

Repositioning and Reattachment

The system is repositioned and attached according to the established hairline and service plan.

Natural-Hair Blending

The client’s growing natural hair may be trimmed or blended so it continues to coordinate with the system.

Styling and Finishing

The unit is styled and finished to restore shape, balance, and presentation.

Not every maintenance appointment includes every service listed. The scope depends on the unit’s condition and the booked appointment type.

YOUR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

There Is No Universal Maintenance Interval

Maintenance frequency varies by client. Some men require service more often than others because hair systems respond differently to individual wear conditions.

Factors That May Affect Frequency Include:

  • Attachment method.

  • Base material.

  • Skin and scalp oil production.

  • Perspiration and physical activity.

  • Climate and humidity.

  • Hair growth rate.

  • Styling-product use.

  • Home-care habits.

  • Desired hairline appearance.

  • Length of continuous wear.

Your maintenance plan should be based on how your system actually performs—not on another client’s schedule.

DO NOT WAIT FOR THE SYSTEM TO FAIL

Common Signs That It May Be Time for Service

The Hairline Is Beginning to Lift

Early lifting may allow dirt, oil, or moisture to collect beneath the attachment and can become more visible over time.

The Attachment Feels Loose or Unstable

Movement, shifting, or reduced security may indicate that the attachment requires professional attention.

Your Natural Hair Is Affecting the Blend

As the client’s own hair grows, the connection between the unit and natural hair may become less balanced.

There Is Visible Buildup

Adhesive residue, oils, perspiration, and styling products can affect the hairline, scalp, base, and hair.

The Style No Longer Holds Its Shape

The unit may need cleaning, conditioning, reshaping, blending, or professional styling.

The System Feels Dry, Tangled, or Difficult to Manage

These changes may indicate product buildup, moisture loss, friction, wear, or the need for a care adjustment.

The Base or Hair Shows Significant Wear

Excessive shedding, thinning, tearing, discoloration, matting, or structural damage may indicate that maintenance alone is no longer sufficient.

CHOOSE THE CORRECT SERVICE

Not Every Appointment Requires Full Removal and Reattachment

Hairline Refresh

A hairline refresh is a focused service intended to address the front attachment area when the remainder of the system remains secure and serviceable.

It may include cleaning, adhesive removal, preparation, and reattachment of the front hairline area.

Full Maintenance

Full maintenance generally involves removal of the complete system, cleaning of the scalp and unit, evaluation, preparation, reattachment, blending, and styling.

MSGS may change the booked service when the unit’s condition requires a different level of care. Additional time or charges may apply when approved by the client.

CONTINUITY OF CARE

Follow the Maintenance Plan Established for Your System

Existing MSGS clients should schedule the maintenance service recommended during installation or the previous appointment.

Waiting significantly beyond the recommended service window may increase buildup, lifting, tangling, attachment difficulty, or wear.

Before Your Appointment

  • Follow any preparation instructions provided by MSGS.

  • Avoid attempting major adhesive repairs, system removal, or unapproved product application unless previously instructed.

  • Notify MSGS in advance if the unit has shifted, detached, torn, tangled severely, or been altered by another provider.

ALREADY WEARING A HAIR SYSTEM?

You May Request a Professional Evaluation Before Changing Providers

MSGS may work with clients who currently wear a system installed or maintained by another provider.

However, an outside unit must be evaluated before MSGS can determine whether it can be safely serviced, corrected, reattached, blended, repaired, or replaced.

MSGS May Need to Evaluate:

  • The condition and age of the system.

  • The base material.

  • The attachment method and adhesive residue.

  • The existing hairline placement.

  • The condition of the client’s natural hair and scalp area.

  • The cut, blend, density, color, and overall design.

  • Any damage caused by wear, home maintenance, or prior service.

A provider change does not automatically mean the existing system can be preserved.

In some cases, maintenance or correction may be appropriate. In others, MSGS may recommend replacement rather than attempting to extend the life of a system that is damaged, unsuitable, or no longer capable of producing an acceptable result.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

Maintenance Can Preserve a Serviceable Unit, but It Cannot Reverse All Wear

Hair systems are wearable grooming products with a limited service life. Maintenance can support appearance and performance, but it cannot permanently prevent aging, shedding, fading, drying, tearing, or structural decline.

Maintenance Does Not Guarantee:

  • Permanent attachment.

  • A specific number of wear days.

  • Restoration of severely damaged hair.

  • Repair of every torn or deteriorated base.

  • Elimination of all shedding.

  • Unlimited service life.

  • Successful correction of work performed elsewhere.

  • The ability to reuse every system.

When a unit can no longer produce a secure, comfortable, or natural-looking result, replacement may be the responsible recommendation.

PROTECT THE SYSTEM BETWEEN VISITS

Professional Maintenance and Proper Home Care Work Together

Clients should follow the care instructions provided for their specific hair system, attachment method, texture, and routine.

Use Approved Products

Products that are too harsh, oily, drying, or heavy may affect the attachment, base, hair, or overall manageability.

Avoid Excessive Tension

Aggressive brushing, combing, scratching, pulling, or detangling can increase shedding and stress the base.

Protect the Hair During Sleep

Reducing friction may help limit tangling, dryness, and unnecessary wear.

Follow Water and Activity Guidance

Swimming, sweating, showering, heat, and humidity may affect attachment and should be managed according to the client’s care plan.

Do Not Delay When a Problem Develops

Attempting repeated home repairs may make a correct professional service more difficult.

Home-care guidance is specific to the system and client. General internet advice should not replace instructions provided by MSGS.

ONGOING SERVICE COST

Maintenance Is Scheduled and Paid for Separately

  • Maintenance is not included in the initial $950 Hair Replacement Package.

  • The cost of a maintenance appointment depends on the service booked, the condition of the unit, the amount of cleaning or correction required, and whether additional work is approved.

  • Pricing and service eligibility are confirmed through the active MSGS scheduling and client-care process.

Additional Charges May Apply For:

  • Excessive adhesive or product buildup.

  • Severe tangling or matting.

  • Corrective cutting or blending.

  • Repairs that can be completed safely.

  • Outside-provider correction.

  • Additional appointment time.

  • Replacement products or supplies when required.

MSGS will not perform unapproved additional services without discussing the recommendation and applicable charge with the client.

WHEN MAINTENANCE IS NO LONGER ENOUGH

Every Hair System Eventually Reaches the End of Its Serviceable Life

The lifespan of a hair system depends on its construction, hair type, base material, frequency of wear, maintenance, home care, styling, environment, and individual handling.

MSGS evaluates the system over time and may recommend beginning replacement planning before the current unit becomes unusable.

Replacement May Be Recommended When:

  • The density has become too thin or uneven.

  • The base is torn, stretched, or deteriorating.

  • The hair is excessively dry, faded, tangled, or damaged.

  • The hairline can no longer be presented naturally.

  • Repeated repairs are no longer practical.

  • The system no longer supports a secure or comfortable attachment.

  • The client wants a different design, color, texture, density, or style.

Future replacement units and replacement services are separate investments unless expressly included in a written package or offer.

MAINTENANCE QUESTIONS

How often will I need maintenance?

The schedule depends on your attachment method, system, scalp, activity level, environment, hair growth, and care habits. MSGS will recommend a service interval based on your actual wear experience.

Is maintenance included in the $950 package?

No. The $950 Hair Replacement Package includes the approved stock hair system and initial professional installation. Ongoing maintenance is separate.

Can MSGS maintain a system installed elsewhere?

Possibly. The system must first be evaluated. MSGS does not guarantee that an outside unit can be safely removed, corrected, reattached, repaired, or preserved.

PROTECT YOUR HAIR REPLACEMENT INVESTMENT

Do Not Wait Until the Attachment, Blend, or System Condition Becomes a Larger Problem

Professional maintenance helps preserve the cleanliness, fit, comfort, attachment, blending, and overall presentation of a serviceable hair system.

Existing MSGS clients should schedule according to their established care plan. Men transferring from another provider should begin with an evaluation.

All outside-provider systems are subject to evaluation. Service eligibility and results cannot be guaranteed before the unit is examined.
